We have recently disabled the Service Portal (SP) as part of our migration to Employee Center (ESC).
Currently:
- When users access any /sp URL, ServiceNow automatically redirects to ESC.
- However, we were getting the OOB message:
"You're being redirected to Employee Center as the portal you attempted to access has been deactivated."
To improve user experience, we wanted:
- Seamless redirect from /sp → /esc
- No popup/message during redirect
- Support for deep links (catalog items, incidents, approvals)
- Ensure notifications and MS Teams chatbot links still work
