Kanban Flow Metrics in SN

We are trying to figure out how to get some flow metrics out of ServiceNow. 

We are struggling with getting a Work Item Age.  In the VTB it gives you an age, but that's just how long it has been since we updated the item. Not the overall Age since it has been in WIP.   Does anyone know how to get that? 

We also want to pull data about our Visual Taskboard on how many items we have in each column historically.  Any reports out there on people's Kanban boards. 

Also looking to calculate our SLE, so would like to grab open date, flipped to WIP, closed date.  

The big struggle is that we are pulling all task types onto our board, so Incidents, INC Tasks, SC Tasks, Stories, etc. 

Just struggling with getting flow metrics for all work types.

If we have Work item age (story age for servicenow) the we would be able to keep track on our Cylce time. 

We are being creative for now and have had our SNOW guy add a counter at the beginning of the short description, which keeps counting as long as a story has not reached state Done. Additionally we have added the value in a table whitch allows us to use it in dashboards.
