Reporting Question

Hello! I am trying to create a report or dashboard widget that would reflect reporting on the number of HR Cases that have been rejected during the awaiting acceptance period. The case moves back to ready once it is rejected, so there is no status that reflects when it has been rejected. Thanks a bunch!

Hello @CallieK,

I saw that this question had been brought up before with a solution. Looks like you will need to create an additional field to count the rejections, then add some logic to the acceptance workflow to count and update the field. Once that is finished, then you should have a viable way to report on it.

I hope this help!

@CallieK ,

oob there isn’t a specific rejected state on hr cases because when a case is rejected during the awaiting acceptance period it simply moves back to ready/wip........ so you cannot directly filter on a state rejected for a report......and the usual way people handle reporting on rejected cases is to capture that event yourself (for example... by adding a custom field example... u_case_rejected or rejection_count on sn_hr_core_case and setting it via a business rule or workflow script when the case transitions from awaiting acceptance back to ready/wip) which then lets you build a report/dashboard on that field, or alternatively use the history tables (sys_history_line) to identify state changes where old = awaiting acceptance and new = work in progress.....
