I only have about 20,000 computers, servers, and network devices in the cmdb, but have over 500,000 network adapter ci's. Is this normal, or is there something I don't have configured right?

Hi Thor,
More than 100 network adapters per computer sounds a bit excessive.
How do you populate CMDB with network adapters?

Are you using SCCM as a data source?... that could be your issue

Hi Thor,
We are experiencing a similar issue on a slightly smaller scale. ~1500 devices, but can see ~29 network adapters per device all showing up as their own CI's. Did you find a resolution to clean up your CMDB and not have them all as CI's?
