Hi,
I am looking for some career guidance. I had applied with a job with a company that is a ServiceNow partner and although I have workforce experience as a ServiceNow admin, they want people I believe with the Certified Implementation Specialist.
I was making ~$110K base, and not looking to drop salary to a junior position as I'm later in my career. So I would consider contracts I guess to move things along if necessary, but prefer full-time.
I'm not too familiar with CIS, but I did see some concepts that seem like its project / people management, which isn't necessarily something I am interested in, although I am okay to coordinate with stakeholders, I rather be on the technical side.
I know there is a lot I have to learn on the CIS related certifications/learning : e.g. service mapping, discovery, HAM,SAM ...
What are the most relevant CIS certifications if any that you'd suggest I pursue?
Is there a place aside from Linkedin and searching the keyword of "ServiceNow" that you suggest I should try?
Also I'm wondering if you guys like even when not having a job would rather wait a few months for a ServiceNow job, or just accept a job in tech that pays about the same and move on. I have PowerBI/VBA/ Microsoft Excel skills etc where I've been able to land decent jobs.
