ServiceNow Career Path Recommendations

I am a CRM/CXM/Digital Experience & Transformation Leader - with 16 plus years of implementation expertise in CRM and ERP technologies for multiple clients. My portfolio reflects multiple SAP certifications and a deep understanding of sales, service, and supply chain management solutions and empowering organizations to harness digital platforms and technology to streamline business processes, elevate the customer-centric experience, and improve operational efficiency.

In my capacity as a trusted advisor, I have spearheaded and executed cross-functional projects across teams in the B2B space for - Sales Operations & Customer Service, Marketing, Partner Channel Management, crafting innovative solutions that resonate with customer needs and foster continuous value creation. Enhancing the user experience for internal & customer-facing applications, change management and driving adoption are key motivators for me.

I believe in continuous learning and actively pursue additional training and certifications to enhance proficiency and stay abreast of latest developments in AI/CRM/SCM/CXM trends and advancements critical to Digital Transformation.

 

I had the opportunity at my last company to be part of the journey to implement ServiceNow CSM/ITSM, as part of a Customer Service and ITSM application overhaul. And based on my past experience, a CSM/FSM route seems ideal. I recently wrapped up the CSA certification as well. 

Curious to hear from the gurus and folks who have been on the ServiceNow ecosystem for a while, about the following questions:

 

- How promising is the Customer Workflow path? Is there enough traction in terms of clients embracing ServiceNow CSM and FSM and does specializing in these areas bode well?

- As I continue to learn while following some of the journeys, as functional consultants and implementers, do you see more value in taking the development path?

- Are there volunteering or returnship opportunities that folks are aware of, that can get someone through the door?
