ActiveRoles is a broker for Active Directory administration. It provides workflows and auditing around changes that are done to Active Directory or AD LDS. Instead of making directory changes in Active Directory, the customer makes changes within ActiveRoles and it will change the directory accordingly.
ActiveRoles provides a .NET library that can be consumed with Powershell scripts. Runbook automation can execute these libraries via powershell and return the result.
