What do you create?

My preferred format for creating content is blog articles.
I usually sit in a quiet corner with a notebook and pen in hand. I write a draft of what I want to convey and then transcribe my ideas as a new article for my blog.

How did you get that started?

I was studying about Cloud Computing for years and in 2020 I was working for a big financial institution. When I heard that the company purchased a ServiceNow subscription, I talked to my manager begging her to put me on this project. Thank you Erika Zanoveli for believing in me.

I grabbed this opportunity with both hands. I studied day and night, and on weekends. I was the first among 80,000+ employees to obtain the CSA certification.
So keep your eyes open to see the opportunity when it arrives.

- Always study the best practices

I lived abroad for 2 years to improve my skills. This international exposure allowed me to understand the importance of the ITIL framework.

In parallel to my ServiceNow studies, I invested time to conquer the knowledge to take the ITIL Fundamentals exam from PeopleCert. Thank you Renê Chiari for your guidance during the process.

Having this technical background, many times it is tempting to start implementing a solution right away. Understanding the ITIL practices will allow you to evaluate what brings value to your client. Besides that you will start thinking about sustainable solutions. You will talk more to people to explain your ideas, and naturally others will see you as a leader. When you work as a team, your impact is bigger and you can achieve great results.

- Find a mentor

During your ServiceNow journey sooner or later you will find this plateau. A point where it is difficult to evolve alone. Instead of letting this cause you anxiety or depression, take a deep breath and start looking for a mentor.

I found this plateau after my CSA. I was trying to migrate my backend dev skills to ServiceNow but sometimes I felt that I was reinventing the wheel. Acquiring the skills to leverage the ServiceNow APIs was an important step towards the CAD (Certified Application Developer) certificate and proceed with my progress.

During this time I was fortunate to find Mr. Ashutosh Munot as my mentor within the ServiceNow Developer Mentorship Program 2023.

For one year I was his pupil and I did my best to make him proud. I received my CAD certificate and we are still good friends until today.

When you feel stuck, don't give up. Find a mentor, a more experienced person to help you achieve your next level.

Why you keep sharing? How many times have you been named ServiceNow MVP?

In this post you noted I am always grateful for a person and it is not a coincidence. Connect with people and engage with the ServiceNow community. It is a place where we can learn, share and grow not only as a professional but as the best version of ourselves.
Sharing my knowledge is a way to give it back, since I believe my articles can inspire people within the ServiceNow community.

This year marks my third recognition as a ServiceNow MVP, and it is a pleasure to be part of this special group again.
Thank you Catia Camacho ❤️ for understanding my absence when I am studying to become a better person. You are my everything and everything I do, I do it for you.

Thanks for reading.
