At ServiceNow, we try to provide a wide variety of resources to help you find the information you need as quickly and efficiently as possible. There's a lot to learn about our platform, and each individual has a preferred method of learning. For example, you might find answers by reading the documentation, or you might prefer learning through dialog on the ServiceNow Community. With so much to teach and so many channels of communication, how does the ServiceNow Multimedia team decide what topics to cover with instructional videos? There are several things we consider.
- We try to select topics that answer your community question. If we notice an interest in a particular application or feature, we try to make videos about that feature to both maintain interest and ensure that you have all the information you need.
- We try to select video topics that are visual. For example, it is easier to demonstrate user interface (UI) navigation than to explain it in an article, because the UI is very visual. Similarly, complex processes lend themselves well to video. It helps to see these processes demonstrated before attempting to complete them yourself. Animation and info graphics, such as the graphic at 6:34 of this video can help make abstract concepts easier to understand, so we also cover abstract and complex topics.
We make these videos for you. Is there a feature or process you would like to see demonstrated in a video?
