My ServiceNow Superpower – From Confusion to Community MVP 2026

Everyone talks about having a “superpower,” but for me, it was something I discovered slowly during my journey. I always had a strong interest in coding, which is why I chose Computer Engineering. During my college days, I loved solving coding problems and even achieved a 5-star rating on HackerRank. I was always excited to learn new programming languages and had a deep interest in AI.

When I got the opportunity to start my career with ServiceNow, I was very happy. But honestly, during my training period, I felt like I was in the wrong field. I had this belief that ServiceNow required very little coding, and that made me feel confused and demotivated in the beginning.

At that time, my seniors guided me and helped me understand the platform better. I trusted their advice and started working on real projects. Initially, I faced many challenges and struggled to understand things. Then I came across the Service Portal module, where scripting and coding are more involved. That changed my mindset completely. I started enjoying my work again because it connected with my interest in coding.

One of the best decisions I made was joining the ServiceNow Community. In the beginning, I was just reading questions and trying to understand how others were solving real-world problems. The questions were not easy, and I was not able to answer anything at first. But slowly, I started trying. After around ten days, I received my first accepted solution, and that moment gave me a lot of confidence.

After that, I continued contributing regularly, especially during weekends and in my free time. I also learned a lot by reading answers from top contributors and MVPs. The community played a huge role in improving my scripting skills, logical thinking, and understanding of best practices. Over time, I could clearly see my growth.

Within six months, I got an opportunity to participate in the ServiceNow Hackathon, HackNow 2024 in Singapore, where our team became finalists. It was a proud moment for me, and getting an onsite opportunity within one year of my career felt like a big achievement.

In 2025, I applied for the Rising Star program, but due to an email change, I lost all my previous community data, including my helpful answers and contributions. That phase was very demotivating, and I almost felt like giving up. But I decided to start again from scratch. This time, I didn’t have many helpful marks or recognition, and I was not even sure if I would get selected for MVP. Still, I continued contributing without expectations.

Then came one of the most special moments of my life. When I saw the email for MVP 2026 selection, I felt extremely happy and proud. It was my first big recognition, and it meant a lot to me. That moment doubled my motivation to achieve more in the future.

If I talk about my superpower, it is my ability to take on challenging requirements and go deep into them until I find a solution. I enjoy scripting and feel confident working on complex problems in ServiceNow. I don’t get afraid of difficult client requirements, and I always try to complete my work before timelines.

The ServiceNow Community has taught me that hard work never goes to waste, recognition comes at the right time, and patience is very important. It has not only helped me improve my technical skills but also built my confidence.

I am really thankful to the ServiceNow Community, mentors, and the MVP program for recognizing my efforts. This journey has been amazing, and I believe this is just the beginning.
