ServiceNow contains many terms and acronyms. Just think about ITIL, CIs, rate cards, lanes, edge, iFrame blocks, and glide lists. There are even funny terms. My personal favorites are slushbucket, Jelly script, and bubble charts.
If you are new to ServiceNow or starting to use new areas of the product, the glossary in our product documentation may be useful. Like a typical glossary, ours contains terms and phrases, along with definitions, related to our product and business domain. The glossary is one of our most viewed product documentation pages.
Another big plus is that translated glossaries are available in the product documentation in these eleven languages:
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Dutch
- Finnish
- French
- German
- Japanese
- Norwegian
- Polish
- Russian
- Simplified Chinese
- Swedish
To view the glossary, follow these steps:
- Open the ServiceNow product documentation at wiki.servicenow.com.
- On the left side under Resources, click Glossary.
The English glossary opens. - (Optional) To view a translated glossary, click Localized Glossaries on the right side and select a language from the list.
We update and try to improve the glossary regularly. Please let us know if there is a term you'd like to see added or if there is another language in which you'd like to view the glossary.
