find_real_file.pngAs many of you know, my wife competes with our dogs in dog agility. If you're not familiar with the sport, it's basically about running your dog through an obstacle course (different in every competition) perfectly, as quickly as possible. Three of our four dogs are field spaniels (the other is a smooth-coated border collie). This post is in response to someone asking me what a field spaniel looks like. The cute little fellow at right (click to enlarge) is our youngest field spaniel, Miki (which means "agile" in Hawaiian), when he was but a few months old and first making himself at home in our yard. He found a stick to play with and some flowers to lie in — what more could a little field spaniel want? Now he's about two years old, and has just started competing...
