Securing the cloud requires a multi-layered approach. Similar to how an apartment building has exterior security, security guards, security cameras, a locked lobby door, locks on individual apartments, security systems in each apartment and so on - security in the cloud needs multiple security layers.
We've been exploring how you can secure your data and also how we operate the Enterprise Cloud in a secure manner. This latest post is a very important piece of being secure in the cloud. You can lock your apartment door but what if the exterior building security is non-existent and they leave keys to your apartment clearly labelled in the lobby (hint - that would be a bad way to operate securely)? Operating security is paramount to being secure.
