Activating plugins on Now Support has never been easier - and we have the video to prove it. Here's how to enable ServiceNow plugins on your instance using the Plugin Store or the Service Catalog on Now Support:

What’s the difference between the Plugin Store and the Service Catalog?

The Plugin Store provides offers our most frequently requested plugins and provides end-to-end automation flows to enable them. It also includes release notes and dependencies that:

  • Give you a better understanding of the process
  • Help you find the top use cases or filter by subscription
  • Find out what customers are saying about it

This information allows you to better plan for the uptake of the plugin’s new functionality by ensuring your instance has the proper licensing and compatibility.

The Service Catalog, on the other hand, allows you to request any plugin that ServiceNow offers. It does, however, require manual reviews for non-automated plugins.

While you can activate plugins from both the Service Catalog and the Plugin Store, the Now Support plugin store specializes in plugin activation and will give you a more in-depth look at your instance compatibility for a plugin. If you know which plugin you want and have already done the research on your own, the Service Catalog is a great way to submit that request. The Service Catalog has additional instance automation request items not specific to plugins, so if you are new the process or only want to see plugins, use the Plugin Store.

Plugins are a great way to add enhanced functionality and new Now Platform features to your ServiceNow instance, so make sure to explore the options available to you!

Login to Now Support to visit the plugin store or visit the catalog to submit a plugin activation request.
