Build Query with Non-CMDB Table-

Did you create a new Configuration Item query using the CMDB Query Builder?
Did you add Incidents from the Non-CMDB Tables tab? Did you connect them to each other? Did you set up filters on each that match the instructions?
Did you save and run the query you created? Did you write the number of records returned into the query's description field?

Hi,

What is your use case? What you want to achieve?

CMDB query should be created to check relationship between each other but automatically creates a database view for you.

Thanks,
Ashutosh

My scenario is below:

SCENARIO:

Cloud Dimensions is interested in improving their incident process by understanding how many high priority incidents exist that are associated to configuration items that have no owner.

REQUIREMENT:

As the Cloud Dimensions CMDB administrator, using Query Builder, build a query using the following requirements.

- Query Name: High Priority Incidents with No Owner

- Query Results: Displays any configuration items that does not have the Owned by field populated and are associated to a priority 1-Critical incident

- Save and run the query, and note the number records returned

- In the Description field, enter the number of records returned and then save the query

 Post adding the requirement

Unable to save the query.

Correct me if iam mising

HI,

Why you want to use CMDB Query for this. It is straightforward and can be achieved using simple reporting on incident table.

Thanks,
Ashutosh
