Linux Server to Classify as cmdb_ci_server

Hi All,

I am trying to classify the linux server using SSH ITOM discovery to cmdb_ci_server .

I created a new classification under CI Classification > Unix and gave a name as Compute Node with the classification criteria such as

output contains ibm-gt i.e. if the output of the Unix - OS probe

Since Unix - OS is part of multiprobe in Probe Table unix - classify

But during the quick discovery it is failing at the last step in Host verification and also in dicovery logs i can see CI column is empty

@muazzam I had a similar case when we discovered Linux Computer and SN classified them automatically as Linux servers.
I did it simple as I didn't want to dig deep and modify custom discovery logic too much.
I created a before BR on the Linux table for insert and in the script I re-classified it as computer.
Should be the easiest way - not elegant but working.

This is fixed i build the custom classification and categorised as cmdb_ci_server and used the custom pattern NG Compute Discovery along with servicenow out of the box probed for various discovery and it worked and it is discovering everything that is required
