Hi sukran,

You can install a virtual machine on your pc. There are software avl which you can make use of. Once done install the MID server. There is one more way of doing this which will lead to more learning. Get one AWS cloud service account (trial version avl for free). On that try getting an EC2 instance. On that install mid and try discovery.

Yes I Installed virtual machine ( vmware workstation player) and installed 2019

and able to discovery win server to my personal Instance , Thank you

Is this possible to do discovery our laptop which is in same network ?

I can able ping from vmware machine to local laptop as well , but credentials failed

even I updated the credential in the table

The mid server is on VM and now it has to talk to the local device. In a real environment the infra team allows traffic so that the mid-server request can travel to different subnets. One more way would be installing an additional mid on the local machine.

In the first scenario, you should able to log in from the mid server to the local machine via PowerShell.  If that works then you will be able to discover it.

For learning purposes try other devices like Unix.

Please accept the answer if it helps.

Hi, Install mid server in your local system i.,e personal computer. Test with your personal laptop IPV4 Address and discover the CIs and confirm the status.

Suresh.
