Use Case:
We frequently discuss the checklist when initiating the program, as well as the ticket life cycle, among other topics. Is there a possibility to utilize the feature from the out-of-the-box table by default?
Description:
The checklist consistently aids in capturing essential notes and verifying the thoroughness of each work item. In the out-of-the-box (OOB) configuration, there exists a default feature that assists in reminding users and completing their action items within ServiceNow forms and user interfaces. This functionality is not immediately visible; therefore, it is necessary to incorporate it into the user interfaces to facilitate the completion of outstanding tasks.
Solution:
In OOB, 3 tables have been created to facilitate the management of the checklist within each table.
The functionality, as I previously emphasized, is not visible within the form interface. If you possess administrative rights, please log in to the relevant table, navigate to 'Form Layout', search for 'Checklist' in the Selected section, and transfer it to the Available column. A screenshot is provided below for further clarification.
Once it has been relocated to the designated area, you will be able to view the results in the corresponding user interface formats. This will facilitate the initiation of your checklist item in the anticipated location.
A comprehensive document is available in ServiceNow. I have provided the link below for additional information regarding the checklist. I trust this will aid in your further study and learning.
