My library Knowledge Sources To Go is very popular, but it was intended mainly as a thematically grouped guide to standard sources and was provided by me as a PDF file. For certain topics, however, there is so much content that I can no longer include it in that document, as it cannot continue to grow forever.
For this reason, I have decided to handle such topics in individual community articles like this one instead.
What is Digital Portfolio Management?
The Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) target persona owns solutions like services, service offerings, business applications, or other products. As a solution owner, DPM enables you to have a single view of the full life cycle to help you determine the overall health and performance of solutions that you own or those solutions that you rely on. With DPM they can:
- Manage the life cycle to plan for new services and updates to your existing services.
- Manage the life cycle to build by viewing project progress and agile data.
- View technical, operational, and roadmap dependencies.
- Optimize the technology that your services and applications rely on.
- Use Performance Analytics data and real-time metrics to gain insights on your services and applications.
