Hi Team,
I am working on Change Risk Assessment in ServiceNow and configuring Assessment Metric Definitions for risk calculation. Currently, the metric definitions have integer values (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4).
My question is:
Can we assign decimal values (e.g., 0.5, 1.5, 2.5) in the metric definition “Value” field? Will the risk calculation work correctly with decimal values?
Has anyone tried this in their implementation? Are there any known limitations or best practices when using decimal values for risk scoring?
Thanks in advance for your inputs!

No, it is an integer type, so we can’t use decimals.

I looked at the field that holds the number. The field type is decimal so I don't see why you would not be able to use a decimal value.

Hi @Akhila P
I tried this in the list view. When I enter a decimal value, it automatically converts it to an integer and does not show any error. However, when I open the record and try to enter a decimal value, it shows an error. You need to check where this validation has been added.

The field is type Decimal.
But the is a business rule called Verify value that prevents you from using a decimal value. They must have a reason for this, I would not change the out of the box functionality.
