I have a table that gets populated with indicators by month, then I make a pivot table report where I have the indicator title on the rows and the month on the rows and then I have the sum of value as the data. Month by month this table is populated with the metrics, showing a type of trend report in a spreadsheet style.
This works perfect for presenting the results, just what I need, except the pivot report totals the rows and columns, which I don't particularly care for, since the metrics might be amount of users and another mailbox space used, these two values don't really mean anything added up.
Here in red I show what I would like to get rid of:
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Unfortunately this is an under the hood type functionality that isn't customizable. I believe your option at this point would be to create a custom report but for the purpose that you have I would leave it alone and hope for a property at some point that would allow you to tweak pivot table reports to the level that you are desiring.

Is there still no way this can be achieved? - nothing in the pipeline even?? .....quite a long wait thus far - can anyone advise???. Hoping to avoid suggestions for custom pivot solutions as I am already trying to integrate the pivot with a custom interactive filter (as far as I am aware both custom interactive filter and custom (ui page) pivot solution will ont work together.

When using the OOB reports, you actually have pretty limited options for customizing the output. If it isn't in the reports screen as an option, then there's not much that you can do about it, unfortunately.

1. Navigate to the report you want to modify.
2. Click on the "Edit" button to open the report in edit mode.
3. In the "Data" tab, find the "Show Totals" option.
4. Uncheck the "Show Totals" checkbox. This will remove the total column from the pivot table.
5. Click on "Save" to save the changes.
