How can we edit a variable value if a catalog is already requested and currently in approval state

Hi All,
Is it possible to change a variable value after request has been raised and currently in 'requested for approval ' state and a few groups are already approved the request ?

Yes, This is a business requirement. But not to allow updating the variable by agents . Requester submitted the request selecting incorrect value from drop down and it is already get approved by a few groups but then they realized , the value should be changed . So that they want to change the value now , if they cancel the request and raise again it will take more time to take approval from those groups. This is the background behind it .
Please let me know if any further information is required . Should I inform them to cancel the current request and to raise new request with correct value . Not sure if it is best practice to change that value from our side .

Hi @1_DipikaD ,
is it a important variable and being used in the workflow? if no you can update the value
are the workflow activities that have already ran used that variable(like if activities which significantly changes request flow)? if the variable that you are trying to edit is important one better re run the workflow or ask the user to submit it.
if the variable doesn't make much of a difference in the workflow part you can update it with the approaches shared
