How remove the mandatory on HR service field from case creation.

Hi,

 

I want to remove the mandatory on HR service field from case creation.

Can anyone please help on this, It will be useful.

Hi @mania 

Any specific reason for removing this? There are two things you need to do, but after removing the field, make sure to fully test the case lifecycle, as this field might have dependencies on other flows or executions within the case.

Steps to follow:

  1. Open the case in Native View

  2. Change the view to Workspace (WS)

  3. Go to the Form Layout and remove the field

  4. Since the field is mandatory, you’ll also need to:

    • Disable the UI Policy, or

    • Check whether it’s marked mandatory at the dictionary level or via UI Policy

Make sure to validate thoroughly after making these changes.

Then please check the UI policy and update UI policy with right state and your work done.

I believe you will have to tweak the OOTB case creation UI page.

If they don't want to select HR Service then the case will be created for which HR Service?

I won't recommend doing anything on that OOTB UI page.
