How to show case the knowledge articles in different portals

NagarjunaCD

We have 8 Knowledge articles and we have two portals as Portal 1 and Portal 2.

Now my requirement is , I wanted to make 3 knowledge articles needs to show in Portal 1 only, remaining 5 Knowledge articles I wanted to showcase in the Portal 2 only.

Do we have an OOB functionality for this or how we need to configure this ?

is there any options through the Knowledge Base ?

Hi,

Yes, you can control article visibility using OOTB knowledge access configuration, but the right approach depends on how Portal 1 and Portal 2 are configured.

  • Knowledge User Criteria: Configure the appropriate Can Read criteria to control who can access each article. Make sure the criteria distinguish the intended audiences for the two portals.
  • Knowledge Base configuration: Check whether the portals use separate knowledge bases. If they do, you can organize the articles into the appropriate knowledge bases and configure access accordingly.
  • Portal configuration: Verify that each portal's knowledge search and article components are configured to display content from the intended knowledge bases.

If both portals use the same user population, User Criteria alone may not distinguish the portals, because access criteria are evaluated against the user rather than simply the portal being viewed.

For your requirement, first check whether the portals use separate knowledge bases and whether their users differ. That will help determine the cleanest OOTB solution.\
