Hi Team,
We are facing an issue with syncing Additional Comments between Idea and Story.
When additional comments are added on the Idea (for example, by the Idea Submitter) and a Story is created from that Idea, the comments are copied to the Story. However, the copied comments appear under the Story creator's name instead of the actual user who added the comment on the Idea.
For example:
The Idea Submitter adds a comment on the Idea.
A different user creates the Story.
The comment is copied to the Story.
But it shows as if it was added by the Story creator, not the original commenter.
We need the comments on the Story to display the correct original user details (whoever actually added the comment — Idea Submitter, Story Creator, Developer, Tester, etc.), along with the original timestamp.
Has anyone implemented this correctly using Flow Designer or Business Rules?
What is the recommended approach to preserve the original commenter details while syncing comments from Idea to Story?
