Knowledge translation task is not getting created ?

Manal AQUIL

Hi Community Members,

Kindly, bridge the gap of what I have missed to understand in translation management.

I am trying to translate knowledge articles via translation task /Machine translate and in order to achieve this I have installed below plugins :

A) com.snc.knowledge_advanced

B) com.glideapp.knowledge.i18n2

C) com.glide.dynamic_translation

and enabled glide.knowman.translation.enable_translation_task property to true .

Moreover, even after publishing my knowledge articles translation tasks are not getting created so that I can translate to desired language.

Kindly, help me navigate.

Thanks and Regards,

Manal Aquil

@manalAquil,

If you go to the KB record in question on the [kb_knowledge_base] table, on the right-hand side populate the languages you'd like the task to be created for, and tick "auto-create translation task":
find_real_file.png

The translations of the articles won't happen automatically, but the task generation will happen once you've published your new source (probably English) articles,

It's important to note, that this behaviour will change in the Tokyo release, as it will be a part of the Localization Framework,

Many thanks,
Kind regards

Hello, this didn't solve my problem with translation task. When I request a translation, a Localization Requested Item will be created but not a task. Even tho I've set up everything correctly.

If I use the localization workspace, it works fine. So this is not for new articles, but for old ones.
