List-edit on Approvals causes logout

I am encountering behavior in our development environment where an attempt to list-edit approvals (sysapproval_approver) causes a session logout.

Select an option then click on the green checkmark. Then, the list-edit fails and the value is not changed. This only occurs for some options (Approve, Reject) but does not occur for the others (Assess, Not Yet Requested, Cancelled, No Longer Required). Yes, we have added custom options to the approvals.

Any suggestions?

This behavior is caused by the Approvals with e-Signature plugin which was installed in this environment. This environment also uses Active Directory SSO and this is not supported by the Approvals with e-Signature plugin, which causes the logout prompt.

Without the AD SSO active, the prompt would show a username and password field that can be completed then submitted and then the approval would complete.
