Reports are not visible to some users

Hi Everyone,
We have a Dashboard with some List type reports on Idea(idea) table. The records in the reports are grouped by business_unit.description field.(Business unit is a field in idea table referencing business_unit table). Reports and Dashboards are shared to the user. I checked read, report_view,query_range ACLs, Query Business rules on both idea and business_unit tables and user satisfy all the conditions, still the report is throwing this error

Note : User is accessing the report in Native UI and not in workspace and user was able to access those reports untill a day ago and we have not made any changes to the reports or the tables.

Any Insights into this is highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

@SVimes , I impersonated the user and user is able to see the field value from the list view. but when I group the records with that field value, the error message is displayed.
Please look at the snapshots captured by impersonating the user.

When I group the above list of records with Business_unit field, it shows this message.

User is able to see the list of records from business_unit table as well.

I checked all idea.* and idea.business_unit ACLs( read access). user should be able to access.

It's interesting to see multiple Description fields in that first screenshot. What's more interesting is seeing Description populated when viewing the Business Units table directly but not the Ideas table which would indicate to me something on the Ideas table. Without seeing how your ACLs and affected user(s) are set up, I can only point to ACLs on the tables in reference (Ideas and Business Units).

However, I see that you also attempted to use the ACL debugger since there is a bunch of ACL stuff at the bottom of a page. Normally, when I want to debug ACLs, I go to System Security -> Debugging -> Debug All Security so I get a separate window to load with a debugger which I use to filter the results to /read or just false which is easier to look through than the bottom of the page in your screenshot. I know there is a lot to look at when you do that, but you'll need to do that in order to figure out which ACL is causing the issue. The good thing is that window also allows you to download the log if you need to share the output for any reason.

Hi @Madhan007 ,

This seems like an ACL issue, as security precents reading. GO through your ACL to understand the reason for this.
