Restrict Category Picker for Knowledge Role in Knowledge Article Form

  1. Restrict Category Picker Field:

    • Users with the knowledge role should be able to select existing categories.
    • They should not be able to create new categories via the reference picker or popup.
  2. Prevent Field/Column Creation:

    • Users with the knowledge role should not be able to add new fields or modify the form layout.

Check your ACLs, because I think you have some customization there. OOB, the knowledge role does not allow to add fields or change the form.

And while you are checking on those, adjust the 'create' ACL on the kb_category. It runs on the snc_internal role and references the KBCategory script include.
