Walkup User account access issues

We are working through the process of getting the walkup account setup and running into a bit of a block

 

We are still using ServicePortal, but looking to get on Employee Center later this month

We have the walk up experience configured and everything seems to be ok from a user being able to book appointments and the team getting the appointments.

The hang up I have is that when we impersonate the Walkup user so we can open the sign in page or the wallboard it fails

Here is the steps I am doing

1. Impersonate user - walkup 

as soons as it flips over I get this page

When I look at the user, the following is on the account

I think the SNC_external is causing the issue, but I can't seem to remove the user from that group

When I go into the Role, and hit Edit to remove the user, it shows no one is in the role

 

I am assuming there is some business rule running, but not sure where to look

Hi Brian,

We have faced the same issue; in fact, it is an ongoing issue for us. It works when we use the impersonation method as you did. However, if we directly navigate to the /walkup portal and enter the username and password, it throws an "Invalid username or password" error, even though we have reset the password multiple times.

At the moment, we are at a dead end. We have also raised a case with ServiceNow, but we have not had any luck so far.

 

I got ours to work

What we found was that the timezone was not set for the company

once I set that it all started to work

for the walkup portal page I was getting above I figured out what happened there, and its an odd one, but the work around works

The Walkup user has the only role needed

when we go to impersonate we get that screen

change the URL from /sp to /walkup and it will put it into the right portal
