We are going through a rebuild of our ServiceNow for our org. I wanted to see if there is any feedback on the use of Request Management as part of ITSM vs Demand Management as part of SPM/PPM/Agile.
How did you define the boundary between the two to guide the rest of IT of when to use which one?

Hi @Blue
Request Management is used when a user need access or want to order something like Laptop / Desktop etc and it is mainly for internal users.
Demand Mgmt , is used by business when any new feature/ product need to launch like we are roiling out Cash withdraw from any ATM without charges, so to implement this functionality , a business case will be prepared, demand will see id it good to have/ risk / budget / constraint and much more. Once a demand approved it become project and then development start.
This is small picture.
Simple layman way:
I want to buy a new car, it is demand, as i need to do i actually need a car? Can i do work without car? What is risk if if i dont buy car ? or what budget for this/ resources and all.
I bought car and now my friend asked, can i drive your car, is a request 🙂
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
