Session Code: CSS1462
Presenter(s): Severin, Nicole, Cal
Company(s): Red Hat, Red Hat, Red Hat
Abstract:
Red Hat’s 12,000+ employees are in 85 offices in more than 35 countries. With over 400 IT applications (and growing every day), we needed a single IT system of record. But establishing a CMDB— from discovery to service mapping and event management— isn’t a small task. Where do we begin? How do we get executive support? How do we adopt TBM taxonomy and integrate with existing Red Hat technologies? These were just some of the questions we had to answer.
In this session, discover how Red Hat communicated the value of a CMDB, gained executive support, proved the concept, and implemented our plan. Take away how you can plan your architecture, instances, integrations, and data flows, and discover how articulating business value can support your CMDB vision and follow our journey as we share what we’ve accomplished in just a year.
