Abstract: ABF Freight, a subsidiary of ArcBest Corp., operates an LTL freight network across North America. Mobile devices are how ABF drivers and dock workers track and manage just about every aspect of shipments including drivers, trucks, bills of lading, delivery schedules, etc… When these mobile devices go down or get lost, it can bring operations to a standstill. The process to replace a device was manual, slow and created risks for the business. We needed a better way. Come to this session and see how we accelerated a manual, email-based process across multiple departments with a digital workflow on the Now Platform. This workflow includes ordering devices, approvals, cellular activations, setup and delivery of devices while providing end users real-time status. This process has enabled us to set up and deliver over 13,000 devices in the past 5 years.
