Abstract:
Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX: FLT) is Australia’s leading digital travel retailer delivering world class travel experiences. Since take off in the early 1980s, FLT is now a $20 billion business with 40 brands, 19,000 employees around the world. With the opportunity to help the organization operate more effectively as a global business, IT led a business wide transformation, establishing one platform to operate and serve the business.
Establishing a model that became a centre of excellence for Flight Centre’s global approach to operations the team moved the complete Australian organisation of 11,000 to a stage of mature use, while keeping the lights on. FLT is now modelling this framework globally for all digital initiatives with customer service, finance, security (global governance model) and broader facilities adopting the platform and modelling change management.
