Hello
I ve been researching about servicenow since long..I belong to finance background with 10 years experience in advisory and no coding and IT background at all though this platform requires adequate knowledge of coding at some point. However, 5 years back i started a franchise business and now strugling with 5 yrs indistry gape. I am wondering if I can start with servicenow study and credentials at this point so what are the odds for the career progression for the person who has finance background throughout the years. I am on the verge of decision which is not easy for and I know I ve to do lot of struggle coping up with existing big fishes.
looking forward to seeing expert replies..
Regards

@Harry282 ServiceNow is a low code/no code platform where the day to day operations do not require a lot of coding. With tools like App Engine Studio and Flow Designer you can create apps/workflows without writing a single line of code.
Also, ServiceNow caters to multiple user personas and this include, End users, Developers, Business Analysts, Process owners, Administrators etc. If you do not wish to become a developer then Business analyst or a process consultant role might be suitable for you.
Over the last couple of years, I have seen many people coming from different backgrounds becoming a successful ServiceNow consultants within few years of their journey in ServiceNow.
As a starting point, you can register yourself for the Programs like Rise Up and get to know more about ServiceNow eco system.
Hope this helps.

Hi @Harry282
Greetings!!
Experts already provided insights, but my thought
You can start with BA/ BPC role but journey will be same, means you need to go as deep in admin and then pick up the domains like ITSM / ITOM / GRC etc.
I am in same role, and we need to know the process and not on coding stuff.
I have Admin and ITSM video on my channel, that will be free of cost and you can learn as much as you want.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
