Using my PDI, I opened the table name "life_cycle_stage_status" which i thought is an parent table and changed the value from "In Stock" to "In Stock - Virtual" just to casually test whether all the hardware assets with status "In Stock" has turned to "In Stock - Virtual". But this did not happen to me. So i am keen to know what was i doing wrong?
I was under the impression that tables in Service Now are extended as a Class (object oriented) hence if i modify values in the parent table the changes will flow through to the child table as well.

Hello,
That's the dictionary record for the table, not a field, also that's not what I suggested you do in my reply above, twice, in two different ways to try and guide you.
If you don't mind, please navigate to a record, open it, then do what I mentioned above. Refer to what I've mentioned above.
Please mark reply as Helpful/Correct, if applicable. Thanks!

Hi Allen, Finally i manage to achieve it. Thanks for your guidance, patience and perseverance. Can i kindly request you to go through the steps below and provide your tick of approval?
The question now is who will be the actual person doing this piece of work in the real world? Is it the work of an SI (Service Implementer) or Security_Admin or someone else ?
I have documented the steps to follow. By following the steps, one can change the values of the "State" column to apply changes across all hardware assets within the CMDB instance.
1. First i selected Hardware Assets using below steps from the Application Navigator
2. Slightly different to your step i picked a column display label in random to select the table name from the current view.
3. Next i clicked on the "State" column label as shown below.
4. Below screen will appear once you click on State column
You can double click on the label as shown below "In Stock" or just single click to modify/change values.
In my case i changed "In Stock" to " In Stock - Virtual" and once i updated the value, magic happened. All the CI Records with status "In Stock" were reflecting "In Stock - Virtual".
