theme change and header background color issues

In UI16 till Rome  , it was easy to select a theme from the settings to differentiate instances(prod/test) . But in Next experience , it requires quite a bit of configuration .  Has anyone tried to  apply UI16 themes and header background color changes in quick easy steps in Next Experience - Tokyo

You can enable the property "glide.ui.polaris.dark_themes_enabled" to see theme option in preferences.

After enabling the property 

Click on profile icon and select preferences

You will see the theme option.

Unfortunately we have only 2 theme options available OOTB

Yes already read through those articles . But the color code generator does not work . Hence my question was there was any easy way to switch like we used to do in Quebec or prior versions
