In May 2025 we released version 3.0.16 of Now Assist Data Kit. This version, available for those on at least the Xanadu Patch 9 & Yokohama Patch 3 versions, introduced a number of new features.
Now Assist Data Kit is a comprehensive tool for AI data needs. It lets users add, discover, select, and curate data sets with ground truth for skill evaluation via Now Assist Skill Kit. Users can add ground truth to records, create data collections, and publish these for evaluation purposes. Additionally, Data Kit generates synthetic data.
The new features released are:
Synthetic Data Generation
Synthetic data generation is a feature that allows you to generate data for use in your data collections. Do note that synthetically generated data is stored in a table specifically made for use with Data Kit datasets [sn_data_kit_dataset_record], so any data you generate does not get added to the existing records within your instance.
Please note that this process consumes assists. For the current consumption rate, refer to this pricing guide.
Templates
When generating data, you are asked to provide a number of inputs to classify the type of data you wish to generate. To expedite this process for common use cases, such as generating incidents, we have provided the ability to utilize premade templates.
Data Insights
Data that you generate can be reviewed against two metrics: Completeness, and Distribution by reviewing the new Data Insights tab. Completeness provides an overview of how complete your data is – i.e. does it contain empty fields, or are there duplicated values in any of the columns. Distribution helps you identify the range of information your dataset contains.
Data Protection (requires Data Privacy plugin [sn_dp_store_app] )
Note: This feature is only available for those on an instance with at least Yokohama, and only works with the English language. Additional languages will be supported in future releases.
There are times when you wish to utilize records in a dataset that may contain personally identifiable information, or data that may be considered sensitive. Data Kit now has the option to detect and mask that data using the Data Privacy plugin.
