Hello,
Is there any documentation regarding the removal of sensitive information (like passwords) from core fields like Description or Implementation Steps, specifically when the ticket is already Closed?
I found this article (https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0520375) for scrubbing Work Notes and Comments, but that process relies on the sys_journal_field table.
Since fields like 'Description' are not journal fields, does a similar official "sanitization" process exist, or is a background script the only supported method?

How do you identify if it is a sensitive information?
I mean what criteria makes you decide a particular information has to be sanitized/masked?
However, did you try Data Anonymization in ServiceNow?
Attaching a pdf.
Accept the solution and mark as helpful if it does, to benefit future readers.
Regards,
Sumanth

Thanks, and if it says 'password' with the value in a text field, does Data Anonymization' cover this?
I will check that out
