Hello,

I have an immediate need for a ServiceNow Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to work for me in Philadelphia, PA. This is a long term contract to hire position.

We're seeking someone who has done ServiceNow testing, and used ServiceNow Test Management to do it.  Also used Automated Testing Framework in ServiceNow. We're seeking a SDET who has a passion for delivering highly polished visual experiences for use by broad audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently author test cases for workflow and platform changes that touch many areas of our ServiceNow platform, which may have broad performance implications. Test cases would include fuzzing, data input validation, business rule execution, caching behavior, analysis of application logs, system performance and resiliency including CPU and memory usage, and failure cases.

• Actively solicit and consider input from developers and users when creating or revising test cases.

• Demonstrate expertise in creating test cases, including peer review, providing meaningful feedback, within ServiceNow’s Test Management application

• Proactively migrate repetitive, manual tests into the automated integration test application Automated Testing Framework within ServiceNow.

• Review Product and System Requirements provide feedback on Acceptance Criteria and how requirements can be improved.

• Coordinate defect management and triage functions, working cross-functionally to resolve issues.

• Provide regular communication and documentation of project status and issues requiring escalation.

• Work with business analyst to have documentation and details on the system and features including flowcharts, Network diagrams, Data Flow diagrams, and Sequence diagrams to help in train fellow Engineers.

• Utilize available tools to Monitor System health and performance. Report and escalate issues that impact Customer Experience and Performance of the System.

• Collaborate effectively with a tight-knit team containing developers, QA testers, product owners and project managers

• Work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment using agile methodologies

• Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent field of study) from an accredited university

• 3-5 years experience testing software applications

• 1-2 years experience developing tests using automated testing frameworks

• Ideal candidate will have JavaScript and/or AngularJS development experience which can be leveraged for building automated test frameworks.

• Experience with one or more code version control systems

• Demonstrated experience testing complex user interface applications

• Experience working effectively in a corporate setting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Can lead team members

• Break down and identify test case scenarios and write test cases to test feature, generate test cases and do test execution

• Back end and Front end testing (UX and testing web services)

• Understanding new features and being able to determine best path for testing

• A passion for working in technology as demonstrated by personal project work, open-source contributions, personal websites or participation in tech communities
