The North Texas Tollway Authority was created in 1997 to help advance local highway projects that lacked government funding. Job Description: Under the general direction of the IT Operations and Services Manager, the Lead ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for leading the team of software developers and administrators that analyze, design, write program code, test, document, and implement functionally appropriately, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems in accordance with customer requirements, and organizational methodologies and standards. Respond to production problems and implement immediate resolution efforts across technology areas. Some specific duties for the Lead ServiceNow Developer may include: 1) Gathering existing documentation of policies and procedures or creating documentation, if none exist. The documentation should be translated into Visio workflows and be reviewed with management. After approval, the process will be created in ServiceNow Development instance, 2) Build and present proofs-of-concept, document development design, creation of test cases ensuring acceptance of development and conduct the UAT, 3) Develop training documentation, conduct user training, and release the final developed product to Production. Job Responsibilities: · Meet with leadership, staff and team members to document policies, procedures and establish current business processes and create training materials and conduct user training, including coordinating with other Department Managers when resources are needed to achieve common objectives. · Lead our ServiceNow development team by providing development best practice techniques, creative solutions to customer requests, implementation of flexible/sustainable features, and investigative analysis regarding new/better uses of ServiceNow. · Oversee work of ITSM team: ServiceNow developers, ServiceNow/ Asset Administrators, Asset/Configuration Analysts. · Perform day to day ServiceNow administration duties including the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Documentation, Training and Operational Support and will debug current workflows or make changes to streamline processes, to include ServiceNow code quality, administration, platform development, module development and execute using company AGILE and Waterfall practices. · Architect ServiceNow automation, scripting and integration with existing systems, such as Ansible and Active Directory. · Translate established process and procedures into ServiceNow development. · Develops ServiceNow inventory control plans to track and maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets and implement guidelines for technology asset, change, release, incident and problem management guidelines. · Works with IT business units, team members and leadership to prepare documentation required to execute requests. · Work with IT teams to implement and develop future automations, including additional ServiceNow modules, or DevOps components. · Ensures project adhere to NTTA Information Security Policy, and related security processes and procedures, and stays abreast of emerging security and privacy concerns in order to incorporate appropriate controls and safeguards into processes and projects. · Regularly reports project status, including risks and issues, to management, stakeholders, and the IT management team. · May also serve as a Business Analyst for projects as needed. · Participates in procurements on behalf of the IT Department. This may include writing and reviewing scope documents and participating on the selection committee. · Ability to cope with job related stress including but not limited to deadlines, customer, supervisory and staff interactions, multi-tasking and high work volumes is required. Job Requirements: Formal Education: Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience: Seven to nine years in Information Technology with a minimum of five of those years being with ServiceNow. Supervision: Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same work as those directed, and includes overseeing work quality, instructing and scheduling work. Human Collaboration Skills: Recommendations regarding policy development and implementation are made and/or recommended. Evaluates customer satisfaction, develops cooperative associations, and utilizes resources to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Freedom to Act: Receives Limited Direction: The employee normally performs the duty assignment according to his or her own judgment, requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary. The assignment may be reviewed upon completion. Performance is reviewed periodically. Technical Skills: Work requires advanced skills and knowledge in approaches and systems, which affect the design and implementation of major programs and/or processes organization wide. Independent judgment and decision-making abilities are necessary to apply technical skills effectively. Budget Responsibility: Does research for budget documents; and compiles data for computer entry; enters or oversees data entry. Has responsibility for monitoring budget expenditures (typically non-discretionary expenditures) for a work unit of less than a department size, i.e. program, projects, or small organizational units. Reading: Advanced - Ability to read literature, books, reviews, scientific or technical journals, abstracts, financial reports, and/or legal documents. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in at the college level or above. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Math: Advanced - Ability to apply fundamental concepts of theories, work with advanced mathematical operations methods, and functions of real and complex variables. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in at the college level or above. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Writing: Advanced - Ability to write editorials, journals, speeches, manuals, or critiques. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in at the college level or above. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study. Certification & Other Requirements: · Experience working within a team-based environment · ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, or other related certification, (preferred) · Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies · Experience with documenting workflows in Visio, prior to programming in SNOW · Knowledge of ITIL methodologies, ITIL certification (preferred) · Demonstrated experience in monitoring highly detailed IT projects, with extraordinary attention to detail |
