What you'll be doing…
Tableau is looking for an experienced Systems Developer that is responsible for the development and support of critical business systems applications including ServiceNow. The Systems Developer will assist in maintaining our current implementations of ServiceNow and lead the expansion of additional capabilities based on stakeholder requirements.
Some of the things you'll be doing include…
- Act as primary technical administrator/developer for ServiceNow and other applications as needed
- Design, develop, implement and support Tableau’s current ServiceNow environment and new module implementations, application enhancements/expansions, and automation
- Develop proficiency with some of our critical 3rd party applications and apply technical skills and research abilities to enable system integration, data management / sharing and optimal configuration of applications
- Ensure appropriate SDLC process is adhered to when promoting updates through development/test/production environments
- Team with Corporate IT, Sales, Marketing and other Operations teams to develop solutions in support of the distribution and support of Tableau Software products and services
- Mentor and train other Enterprise Application Administrators
- Clearly communicate project status to key stakeholders throughout the entire development process
- Create comprehensive technical system documentation and provide training to staff
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Who you are…
- Experienced.
- 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer required
- Demonstrated deep knowledge of ServiceNow’s core architecture and primary application modules such as ITOM, ITSM, CMDB, Orchestration, Workflow, Asset Management, Service Portal, and Service Catalog
- 4+ years of development experience on a cloud-based development platform
- Practical ITIL knowledge and experience, ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
- Educated. BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or equivalent
- Highly Technical. You are skilled in the following areas:
- Hands-on expertise with ServiceNow administration and development
- Solid understanding of and experience with JavaScript, Angular, MySQL, REST API, Web Services, HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, and programing languages such as Java, Python or PHP
- Understanding of relational database management systems, stored procedures, and queries
- Embrace cloud-based systems and have a solid understanding of the integration points between cloud and on-premise applications
- Familiarity in data warehousing concepts including data management, ETL architecture & development and strong SQL proficiency
- Understanding of web-based services and Agile Software Development Lifecycle practices
- Leadership. You can lead and mentor others and can remain calm during high stress and high visibility situations.
