Kelly IT has an opening for a Temp to Hire Service Now Developer to work with our client in San Francisco, CA.

 

Duration: 6 months temp to hire.

 

 

SUMMARY

The ITSM developer will play a key role in supporting our ServiceNow platform and other ITSM applications, including PagerDuty.

Primary responsibilities includes developing / implementing new configurations and customizations, and performing day to day administration support in ServiceNow. S/he will work closely with ITSM development manager and other ITSM team members daily.

Required Qualifications
Five years of overall IT technical experience

  • Three years of experience in object-oriented programming
  • Two years of experience in JavaScript programming
  • Two years of experience in web development
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline with an Information Technology focus/emphasis; or five years equivalent experience / training
  • Intermediate knowledge of agile software development.
  • Advanced skills associated with ITSM related software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs; demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with management on a regular basis
  • Thorough experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums
  • Demonstrated software repository skills; demonstrated testing and test planning skills
  • Thorough experience with common programming tools; demonstrated ability to follow software specifications
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team; able to learn effectively and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated broad problem-solving skills


 

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Two years’ experience in web service using REST or SOAP API
  • Two years’ experience in ServiceNow administration and development
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification
  • ServiceNow System Administration certification
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile / Scrum Methodology
  • Experience implementing ticketing systems using ITSM/ITIL
