ServiceNow@IBM ITSM System Administrator Application
Description:
IBM CIO is seeking a ServiceNow System Administrator to maintain the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform by performing application maintenance, managing support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and contributing to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features. The ServiceNow System Administrator has sound technical ability that enables the fulfillment of common configuration and maintenance tasks.
This job is onsite in Southbury, CT (United States)
Responsibilities:
- Manages and resolves incidents against ServiceNow applications
- Performs routine maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification/remediation
- Contributes to the planning and execution of the ServiceNow instance upgrade
- Contributes to ServiceNow release deliveries
- Manages Instance Security; including, user and group Access Control Lists
- Takes ownership of complex business requirements and works them to completion
- Creation and delivery of solutions for clients
- Drive the continuous improvement of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on client experiences
- Assists ServiceNow Business Analyst in estimating release level of effort
- Continually learn and obtain education for new ServiceNow applications and functionality
- Work in an Agile and DevOps CI/CD environment
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Experience with System Administration or Application Administration
- Experience with PaaS and SaaS environments
- Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO and other such technologies.
- Applied knowledge in an Agile and/or DevOps methodologies
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM Applications: Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management, Service Desk, Knowledge, Service, Configuration and Asset Management.
- Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Experience with Enterprise IT Service Management

Hi there, it’s Ross here, I hope all is well at sunny IBM today, if you're in need of top quality ServiceNow and/or ITSM resources to bolster your team then I'm your man to help.
I used to work with IBM quite a lot when their main service offering was Remedy but since the move to focus more heavily on ServiceNow things tailed off a bit, but as most of the most experienced ServiceNow gurus were Remedy gurus I'm still a very well known person in the industry.
