About the Position:

Position Description:

UNOS is looking for a highly technical information technology professional to serve in the role of Solutions Architect for the organization’s ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will function as the primary Subject Matter Expert with responsibility for maintaining the ServiceNow platform’s operational health, as well as consulting with internal customers and collaborating with business and IT teams to deliver new business capabilities through ServiceNow. This is a technical leadership position that is accountable for envisioning, designing, and implementing the UNOS ServiceNow operational roadmap.

About UNOS:

The United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) coordinates the nation’s organ transplant system, providing vital services to meet the needs of men, women and children awaiting lifesaving organ transplants. Based in Richmond, Va., UNOS is a private, nonprofit membership organization.

UNOS members encompass every transplant hospital, tissue matching laboratory and organ procurement organization in the United States, as well as voluntary health and professional societies, ethicists, transplant patients and organ donor advocates.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Stakeholder Engagement

·       Understand business needs and priorities at a tactical and a strategic level, and represent business owners throughout the architectural design and planning process.

·       Own the relationship with business owners to identify, model, and document business requirements as needed.

·       Conduct interviews, research, requirement workshops to understand the needs of the business for planning and design purposes.

·       Translate technical complexities to business owners and offer reasonable alternatives.

·       Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations.

ServiceNow Technical Architecture

·       Drive results and maximize value by staying on top of product enhancements, attending vendor road map discussions and supporting process owners through platform upgrades.

·       Lead the design and configuration of new applications and modules within ServiceNow.

·       Work closely with process owners to ensure that the full capability of designated applications have been implemented to achieve maximum business value.

·       Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and practices.

·       Create and maintain system and operational documentation for network and domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.

Systems Implementation and Operations

·       Provide ServiceNow configuration and customization assistance including, but not limited to: form tailoring, workflow administration, data imports, custom scripting and third party software integrations.

·       Oversee the day to day support, administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.

·       Engage with external ServiceNow integration partners as required to provide operational support and to implement new features and capabilities.

·       Assist in troubleshooting patch / release management issues.

·       Maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) and monitor SLA workflows.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8 years of experience as an IT Business, Data or Systems Analyst required.

Critical Skills

·       3 - 5 years of experience in developing on the ServiceNow platform.

·       3 - 5 years of experience developing and configuring ServiceNow modules: Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, etc., preferred.

·       Experience integrating external systems with ServiceNow.

·       Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of information technology solutions.

·       Experience managing or working on projects required.

·       Experience supporting ServiceNow’s ITSM, ITOM and CSM components is preferred.

·       Experience configuring and enhancing all aspects of ServiceNow such as workflow, user interface (UI), client scripts, business rules, and more, utilizing out-of-the-box functionality as much as possible and only customizing when necessary, preferred.

·       ServiceNow Systems Administrator and ServiceNow Application Development certifications are required.

·       Ability to analyze systems based on business and technical user stories/requirements in order to design solutions that best meet the overall objectives of stakeholders.

·       Ability to strategically analyze and articulate risks, benefits and opportunities associated with a proposed design or solution.

·       Ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships and communicate a shared vision to engage stakeholders in achieving enterprise goals.

·       Continuous improvement mindset. 

Education

4-year degree in Information Technology or related field of study, or equivalent work experience
