Q: ­Is Service Portal Designer included in ServiceNow Express?

A: ­Not yet.   Current plan is for it to be released in Istanbul.   (Next release)

Q: ­How many widgets are available and how would you share them?

A: Over one hundred widgets. You can share them just like any record in the platform through simple export/import or as an update set.

Q: ­Will you cover the new GRC in detail as well?

A: ­we will not demo the new GRC capabilities on today's webinar, But learn more in the GRC community.

Q: ­During this product review, will you be covering any of the new PPM functionality, if not can you direct me to a webinar that covers this.

Q: ­Will the new android app allow viewing of dashboards rather than just scorecards like the current PA app and will it be available for Geneva instances or just from Helsinki?

A: Currently dashboard is optimized for mobile experience. We will take this as feedback for future release.

Q: ­Are you saying that a basic form of Discovery is included for free?

A: Discovery is paid plug-in. Licensing is per node. Node could be physical or virtual.

Q: ­Can you show how the portal looks in another language, please? How can the language be changed by customer?

A: ­Sorry we couldn't show localization. Service Portal supports localization through gs.message in the platform and ${} in angular. We're adding documentation for localization. It'll be available in the docs ­.

Q: ­How is the CMDB correctness measured?

It measured used three metrics namely staleness. Duplicate and orphan CI records.

Q: ­How do we put contextual help on forms? ­

A: ­It will come up automatically when editing forms

Q: ­Can the DashBoard be configured based on segment needs? Example displaying SOX applications?

This feature is coming in Istanbul release where you would be able to see health based on business service

Q: ­How much, if any, of Service Watch or other Discovery is needed for a fully functional CMDB Dashboard? ­

A: You do not need ServiceWatch or Discovery for CMDB dashboard.

Q: ­Is compliance based on any specific standards?   (CMDB)

A: It is based on desired state plug-in. It does not uses any industry standards.

Q: ­Can you customize this dashboard or is this it out of the box? (CMDB)

A: ­Both - comes pre-set, but you can customize as well. ­â€‘

Q: ­Can we actually use a true order guide in Helsinki as part of the catalog? ­

A: ­It should support a variety of order guides (variables, mobile scripts). the grey area for us is the desktop (legacy) scripts. I'm interested to see what your have and see if it's already supported ­â€‘

Q: ­Can CMDB be used to track virtual desktops (aka not physical laptops/desktops) via a DaaS cloud provider?   We are considerting transitioning from a providing a laptop to our employees and implement a BOYD and provide a virtual desktop via a DaaS provider. ­

A: Yes you can model them.

Q: ­Are there any CMDB centric courses offered by SN education?

A: SN Education provides sys admin class but professional services offers work shops to customers. Please get in touch with your account rep for details.

Q: ­Are these CMDB features domain separated?   Is does the duplicate check across domains or within a domain? ­

A: CMDB is domain separated. Duplicate check works per domain.

Q: ­Is it possible to filter the CMDB dashboard to view only CI metrics belonging to a single user (i.e. a Data Owner view of their CIs)?

A: No, this is not possible.

Q: ­Can you had the remediation action for the duplicate to use data normalization to combine the CIs into one? ­

A: Yes. You can configure your customize workflows as per your needs.
