Prior to the SNUG, we will be hosting an OPTIONAL hands-on workshop, Drive real value with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB, beginning at 10:00am.
What is a service? How should my CMDB be modeled to support APM, incident, change, service portfolio, ITOM, and and ITSM. Answer these questions and more!!
Learn how to drive real value in stages: Crawl, Walk, Run, Fly. Get hands on experience building out the CMDB model to support capabilities to reduce risk, improve mean time to resolution, and automate previously manual activities.
Recommended pre-work: Go to https://nowlearning.service-now.com/ and take the free course on CSDM fundamentals.
In order to easily view the lab guide that goes along with this workshop, please have a second mobile device, tablet, or monitor available.
INSTANCE INSTRUCTIONS: We highly recommend you obtain your instance at least 2 hours PRIOR to the start of the workshop. You can obtain your instance in the Now Learning Portal HERE by enrolling for the CSDM/CMDB session (LAB2948). NOTE: make sure you are logged in prior to selecting the link. If not, just use the search field for “Drive real value with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CMDB” and the session should come up. Once you click “Enroll” your instance will be built and then you will see it listed at the top in the middle of the header once available. **It could take anywhere between 60-70 minutes to build out which is why we recommend you enroll at least 2 hours PRIOR to the workshop. The instance will be available for three days.
After the SNUG, we’ll be hosting an optional happy hour where we will be joined by a mixologist who will walk us though mixing up two delicious beverages for you to enjoy during happy hour!
In preparation, you will find the ingredient list attached so you can stock up prior the SNUG on Wednesday.
