- Agile is an approach to perform software development. This provides the process flow how you can perform software development for better outcome and quality of product. Agile is iterative and incremental in nature.
- In waterfall model you started development and end at whole product, client don’t have visibility to their product till it completed as whole.
- In Agile you can start development and deliver it in mid also. As it is iterative in nature you started developing some features, end development, and delivering it.

- You keep staring development, complete features and also delivers those features on Prod.
- You keep starting and ending development, so at the end of product you already added some of the part of product on Prod successfully.
Agile Development:
- It has short and fixed schedule of cycle
- Repeating sequence of events, milestones, and meetings.
- Practice of delivering requirement continuously.
SCRUM:
- SCRUM is one of the methodology of Agile.
- It is the lightweight process framework for agile development.
- SCRUM focuses more on Productivity and Transparency.
- It maximizes quality of product.
- You don’t need to do estimation separately.
Roles in SCRUM:
- He make sure that all process in agile and SCRUM being followed.
- He make sure we are on right tract of product development process.
- He is the main person in SCRUM.
- He make sure we are achieving all milestones, meetings, deliverable are delivered on time.
- Product owner is who owns particular product to develop.
- He has full authority towards the product.
- Product owner will gather all requirements for particular product from client.
- He is the centralized person who have full knowledge of requirements.
- SCRUM Team is responsible to develop and the particular product step by step.
- SCRUM Team is basically a group of developers and testers
- Sometimes SCRUM master and product owner will also be the part of SCRUM Team.
Agile Terms:
There are some important terms for agile and some of them are also the modules in serviceNow
- Product: - Set of features and functionality which product owner have.
- Product Owner: - The person who decide what exact to develop. He owns the product.
- Backlog: - It is simply a requirement list which product owner have.
- Story: - From this list of requirement one requirement needs to implement is called one story.
- Sprint: - Time frame in which development team deliver one or more stories. Mostly after two sprints product will be delivered on production. That is two weeks is equal to one sprint and two sprints means four weeks.
- Theme: - It is showing high level features view of product or goal.
- Epic: - It is part of a theme.
- SCRUM Task: - Tasks assigned to the team to perform different activities for a story like development, testing, documentation, analysis, etc.
