We are excited to announce that we are splitting the Alignment Planner Workspace application into two applications “Strategic Planning” in the SPM Pro package and “Portfolio Planning” in the SPM Standard package.
To deliver the best value to our customers we thrive on continuously innovating and these 2 new names enhance our customer experience and simplify licensing. This demo video demonstrates how Strategic Planning and Portfolio planning enables business leaders to align work with strategy, prioritize initiatives and automatically track progress against the organization’s business goals.

hi @Newsha Sharif - thanks for this post, this is useful to know. Would you be able to advise on the following:
-> if we have the SPM Pro package should we install both apps or would Strategic Planning one be sufficient?
-> how does it work with existent records (portfolios, projects, demands)? on a previous version of APW there was a separate plugin that needed to be installed (integration with PPM or something similar). Is it correct this is now pre-installed with Strategic Planning plugin?
Create an alignment integration (servicenow.com)
Thank you.

If you have the SPM Pro package, you just have to implement strategic planning. No need to implement both the apps. This will install all the necessary plugins, including the integration part.

Hi @Sandeep V1 thank you for your advice. Once I dived more I noticed that Portfolio Planning is included and gets installed with the Strategic Planning one 🙂
