There is a known issue in Quebec that is causing the Scenario Planning workbench for PPM to not be installed properly in DemoHub.

Here is the error you will see when clicking on the Portfolio Planning Workbench link:

To fix:

  1. Go to plug-ins
  2. Find Scenario Planning for PPM (sn_pw_scenario)
  3. Click on the Update Button to update the Plug-in
  4. Click on the 3 dots in the top right of the plug-in and choose Uninstall
  5. Make sure you have retain data and tables selected and click on OK
  6. type in uninstall and click on OK
  7. When the plug-in list refreshes go back to the Scenario Planning for PPM (sn_pw_scenario)plugin and choose reinstall
  8. When the reinstall is complete go back to the plugin and choose Update

We are working with support on a permanent fix.

When I attempt to uninstall, it fails, so this workaround does not work for me.  Any suggestions?

@Ben B Sometimes simply running the repair will provide a temporary fix to this issue, if the uninstall is not working. I could also take a look at your instace to try and diagnose why the workaround is not working.

Have you updated the instance to the latest Quebec patch release? We have seen that correct other plug-in issues in Quebec.

@Rob Erickson I tried the repair and it did not fix anything.  I did look at upgrading to the latest patch and it looks like it is already on it.

Everything was working nicely yesterday when I was logged in as an admin but not as a portfolio manager, but I was able to past in the URL used to access the Portfolio Planning Workbench as an admin and it then took me to the workbench.

Best,

Ben

You may need to recreate your favorite as the Portfolio Manager (Megan Burke) if the Porfolio Planning link is working for the Admin and not for her. Have you tried clicking on the menu item for Portfolio Planning wokbench instead of the favorite?

I have been using the menu item as both users and nothing works.

Is this problem fixed in the Rome release?

Thanks Rob.

I had the same issue on my developer instance and the provided steps fixed it.

Is this problem fixed in the Rome release?

Thanks.

@Stefano Nesti

Engineering has created a fix for this, which will be included with the next Store release of the product in October. I am checking to see if any other interum fixes have been provided.

The repair option has fixed the plugin in my case. I was getting a fail when trying to uninstall as well, but repair worked 🙂

Hi Rob.

Are there any updates about the interum fix you mentioned?

How about the Rome release? Is the fix included in the base release and/or in some patch?

Thanks.
